Follow up: Summer Survival
We know walking with God over the summer can be hard.
One of the best ways to grow in your walk with Christ is by learning to read and study the bible on your own. That is overwhelming at first! Here are a couple of our favorite resources to get you engaged in the bible this summer.
If you are new to reading the bible
Start with the 31 day experiment, found here.
If you want to go a little deeper
Check out the resources on shereadstruth.com or hereadstruth.com
Both offer studies on different books of the Bible
If you want to learn how to study the bible deeply
Precepts ministries offers many resources that will help you to learn how to study the bible inductively: precept.org. They offer bible studies on books of the bible studies for purchase. The In and Out studies are a great place to start.
Jen Wilkin’s Bible Studies are another favorite. Both men and women can use these bible studies that walk you through different books of the bible. She has many resources for free and some for purchase here.

When Will I read this summer? How will I establish a pattern?
Community
Who will be my physical nearby community this summer? How can I initiate with them?
Who is my accountability this summer? Someone I can be vulnerable with? When will I initiate with them?
Trials
What will be a trial or hardship for me this summer? How can I invite God into it?
Purpose
How will I be tempted to care and push my own kingdom instead of God’s kingdom this summer?
What is my purpose this summer?
